About Monika
Monika is a versatile Production Designer with a unique eye for composition and a passion for delivering a director’s vision. Like her talent, Monika’s accomplishments span genres and formats. Her efficient, focused approach has proven itself highly effective.
She recently completed another season of multi-award-winning Canadian TV show The Amazing Race Canada, which involves extensive travel internationally and across Canada. Her commercial credits include spots for global brands: Bell, Campbell’s, BMO, Coors, TD, Home Depot, McDonald’s, RBC, Walmart and many others. Based in Toronto, Monika has a degree in Communications and Film Studies from York University. She began her professional career while still in school, pursuing her creativity in various film and video projects where she worked alongside award-winning directors and set designers. These experiences fueled Monika's drive to advance her career and build a growing list of accomplishments in the industry.
Her other credits include the Silver Lion for Raising the Roof spot on homelessness and the short movie Chains a 2010 Genie award nominee. Most recently, Monika Production Designed a feature film Brown Girl Begins, which World Premiered at the Urban World Film Festival 2017, in New York. Monika keeps herself busy with photography and small home renovations when she’s not working.
The Street House won a Cannes Silver Design Lion, Silver and Bronze CLIO, two Gold and two Silver Promo Awards and a Gold Marketing Award.
